The Red Line String Quartet is a Boston-based professional group that gigs in the New England area. The group specializes in providing music at weddings, events, corporate parties, workshops, cocktail hours and other unique occasions. Their musical repertoire is vast and diverse as well as appropriate for any event--they are able to match music with any occasion. The quartet is able to stand out in the spotlight for an evening of beautiful classical music along with adding color to the background of any occasion with Mozart, Joplin and Pachabel.
 The Red Line String Quartet is a professional group with a professional attitude-- minus the union prices.

 The Red Line String Quartet is comprised of Jesse Holstein (violin), Meredith Cooper (violin), Cloe Kline (viola) and Jacques Wood (cello). Mr. Holstein graduated from Oberlin Conservatory and is currently completing his graduate studies at New England Conservatory (NEC). Ms. Cooper also graduated from Oberlin Conservatory and is currently the violinist in the rock band The Shelley Winters Project. Ms. Kline has an undergraduate degree from Rice University as well as a graduate degree from the same. Mr. Wood is currently finishing his bachelor's of music degree at NEC. The group got their name from the famous "red line" T (subway track) that runs from the South Shore of Boston through Downtown, Cambridge and ending in Somerville. This line brings metro Boston together!
 The Red Line String Quartet has opened up for The Shelley Winters Project at The Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA and The Milky Way in Jamaica Plain, Boston as well as performed for the Boston University Conducting Seminar. They enjoy exciting opportunities to perform in unusual venues and places.
