What will I miss about the summer? Lots of things! For some reason I was really gung ho about this summer. Normally, I don't get as into it
because I hate when it gets too hot. Ironically, this has been one of the hottest summers since I've lived in Boston, but I think I balanced this
summer out nicely with lots of fun and new activities:
Working on the new garden. And continually watching it.
Making the usual trips up to Vermont - swimming in the water holes.
Not putting on a jacket every time I go outside.
Summer sunsets.
Bringing Dexie outside in my arms to look at the garden.
Salads - tuna, egg, pasta and potato.
The beach - even if only a few times.
Reading.
Martinis on the porch with Bob.
Everything professional slowing down.
The sun. Baking in it.
Visiting Mom.
The daylight being out longer.
Our new air conditioner.
Lots of visitors.
Listening to music in the car with the windows down, sun roof opened and driving.
Barbecues (I guess everyone says that one).
I'm sad it's over but fall is just around the corner...
